Many of you have mentioned, the word ‘nimble’ is catchy. People remember it, are intrigued by it and can appreciate why I use it to represent what I do.
Most of you also know how much I engage Twitter to create new and maintain cherished business relationships. Today, the two came together when I discovered (through my Twitter search for all things ‘nimble’) there was a brand new (named) company aptly called Nimble User.
The gang over at the former VanDamme Associates (now Nimble User) created an entry for “nimble” and we began the following/friending process. This gang is excited about coming under a nimble name and I’m glad to have an energetic bunch, maybe even silly (check out their blooper video), as part of a new nimble community.
Previously, I’ve posted about picking up the phone and connecting with your Twitter community. And today was no exception. It may have seemed a little awkward at first, most people are a little surprised to hear a voice to go with the avatar they are used to. Just ask @lewisg, @healingsinger, @forrestbivens, @shelbycollinge, @danatlfpress, @jamesrivers to name a few I’ve connected with the same way. In this particular case, I wanted to connect beyond 140 characters with the people who are so excited to carry the nimble name as much as I am. (@sigv @darthgarry @nimbleuser)
Simply put, when your business is heavily branded on a name, it’s in everyone’s best interest to show up; keep it real; be authentic; share the pie; and build community. Congrats to the team at Nimble User; happy to meet you!
Nimbly,
JCM

Jennifer,
I just returned from taking my nephew to the airport for his flight back to LA. What a pleasant surprise to see your Tweet, after which I rushed right over here to your blog. You are one of the special people in the virtual world. Thank you for your friendship.
People matter now don’t they Lewis? We spoke directly last fall and have kept in touch ever since. Reaching out to people has never led me astray; only to open minds and willing participants. Thanks for the encouragement.
Jennifer,
Good to talk to you in person – thanks for reaching out and keep on Nimbling!
